It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, who left this world peacefully on May 7, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on November 6, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland, Father graced our lives with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Father's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a steadfast dedication to his family. Though he was not a man of military service, he served as a beacon of strength and guidance for his family and friends, always offering a listening ear and wise counsel.
His beloved wife, Shanita Townes, was his lifelong partner and confidante, sharing with him a journey filled with cherished memories and an unbreakable bond. Together, they nurtured a family that would become his greatest pride and joy.
As a devoted father, he leaves behind his son, Adrian Stokes, and daughters, Briana Coley and Tatiyana Stokes. To them, he was not just a father but a mentor and a friend, providing boundless support and love. His legacy will live on through the lessons he imparted and the love he lavished upon them.
Father is also survived by his sister, Renee Thompson, who shared in his life's many adventures and stood by his side through thick and thin. The ties of their sibling bond were woven with love and understanding, providing a foundation of support that was unwavering.
Though he was predeceased by Joyce, whose memory he cherished deeply, Father's life was enriched by his extended family and a multitude of friends who became family. To them, he was a source of joy and inspiration, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and goodwill.
Father's life was a testament to the power of love and community. He may not have had grandchildren or great-grandchildren, but his nurturing spirit touched the lives of many, creating ripples of kindness that will continue to spread far and wide.
His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, yet his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. We find solace in knowing that he now rests in peace, watching over us with the same love and care he bestowed upon us in life.
As we remember Father, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship. His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will endure in the stories we share and the love we continue to give.
A private service will be held for family and friends in the coming days, where we will gather to honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Father's name, as a tribute to his generous spirit and compassionate heart.
Rest in peace, dear Father. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
