It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Faruq Muhammad, who departed this life on March 7, 2025, at the age of 63. Faruq was born on February 18, 1962, in the small, close-knit town of Coy, Alabama, where he began a journey filled with love, dedication, and an extraordinary commitment to family and community. Faruq was the cherished son of Howard and Donna Muhammad. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Howard Muhammad, and his dear brother, KC Muhammad, both of whom shaped his life with their wisdom and kindness. Faruq's life was a testament to the values instilled in him during his formative years attending Coy Public Schools. These years laid the foundation for a career that spanned over three decades as a construction manager, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and his ability to bring people together to create something lasting and meaningful. His colleagues remember him not only for his expertise and leadership but also for his kindness, patience, and the genuine care he took in mentoring others. Faruq's greatest pride and joy came from his family. He shared a deep and enduring love with his devoted wife, Theresa Muhammad, with whom he built a life filled with laughter and unbreakable bonds. Together, they raised two remarkable children, Hasaan Muhammad and Malika Muhammad, who carry forward his legacy of integrity, compassion, and love. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his two grandchildren. Faruq's eyes would light up with pride and joy whenever he spoke of them, and he found great happiness in their achievements and stories. Whether it was playfully engaging with them or sharing his wisdom, Faruq's presence was a source of strength and inspiration for his family.
