Facundo Manuel

August 29, 1931 — July 14, 2026

Facundo Manuel, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Born on August 29, 1931, in the idyllic town of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Facundo was the cherished son of Mauricio and Irene Manuel. Facundo's life was a testament to hard work, humility, and the enduring strength of family. He dedicated his professional years to the construction industry, where he worked tirelessly as a laborer. His commitment to his craft extended beyond the workplace, as he often lent a helping hand to neighbors and friends in need of repairs or renovations, asking for nothing in return but the satisfaction of helping others. In his personal life, Facundo was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. In his beloved spouse, Loida Manuel, he found his perfect partner. Together, they built a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Their union was blessed with four children: Irene Milanes and Jocelyn Perkins, their devoted daughters; and Howard and George Manuel, and Rodrigo Arzaga, their caring sons. Facundo's wisdom and gentle guidance shaped their lives, and his legacy of love continues to blossom in his 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Facundo was predeceased by his parents, Mauricio and Irene, who instilled in him values of integrity and perseverance. These values have been woven through the generations of the Manuel family, a testament to Facundo's enduring influence. A man of few words but profound actions, Facundo found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether tending to his garden, sharing stories of his youth in San Nicolas, or watching his grandchildren play, he embraced life with open arms and an open heart. In keeping with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony was held to celebrate Facundo's life. He leaves behind a family that will forever hold his memory close, honoring his legacy by living with the kindness and integrity that he exemplified. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice in Facundo's memory, continuing his legacy of generosity and love.
