It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Evers Lamar Green, a cherished father, brother, son, and friend. Evers left this world on March 8, 2026, just a few weeks shy of his 38th birthday. Evers was the beloved son of Steven Jenkins and Cynthia Green. His life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family, love, and faith. He was predeceased by his cherished Grandmother's Juanita Green and Josephine Jenkins, Big Brother Ronald Green, and his dear niece, Kamisha Lewis. Their memories, along with many others, were deeply held in his heart, as he cherished family ties above all else. Evers is survived by his greatest pride and joy, his children: J'vontae, Javon, Eveanna, Evyn, and Alijah Green. His legacy of love and kindness will continue through them, as well as his grandson, Mikah Lamar Green, All who carries forward his name and spirit. His siblings, Shamika "Shaye" Green, Ebony Thomas, India Kimbrough, and Shydai Jenkins, will forever hold his memory close, as will his godmother, Elinor Herring, He loved all 13 of his nieces, nephews greatly . He had an abundance of aunts, uncles, and countless friends. Professionally, Evers was a passionate entrepreneur who made a significant impact in his roles as a dedicated General Manager and Head Chef at Logan's Roadhouse. His culinary expertise and leadership were also treasured during his time as a valued employee of 419 West. Evers approached every endeavor with a spirit of excellence and a commitment to hard work, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and patrons alike. A man of deep faith, Evers was baptized in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ, holding firm to his belief in holiness throughout his life. His spirituality was a guiding light, providing solace and strength to those who knew him. "The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit," reads Psalms 34:18, a verse that resonated with him and those who loved him during both joyous and challenging times. Evers had a zest for life that was evident in his love for travel and the Ocean, embracing the SaltLife with enthusiasm and joy. His humbleness, kind heart, and undeniable love for his family endeared him to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His children were his living legacy, and their well-being and happiness were always his top priority. In accordance with Evers' wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing his family and close friends to honor and celebrate his life in an intimate setting. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit and love will continue to live on through his children, family, and all who were blessed to have known him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered support, prayers, and love during this difficult time. Evers' legacy of warmth, generosity, and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
