Evelyn was the beloved daughter of Dimple Lee Vance, whose nurturing spirit she carried forward, touching countless lives with her compassion and warmth. She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Alana Dawn Warren, and her dear sister-in-law, Karen Warren. Their memories remained close to Evelyn’s heart, guiding her through the days with a love that transcended the veil of time.
Evelyn shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Steve Warren. Their marriage was a beacon of love and partnership, radiating warmth to all who knew them. Together, they nurtured a loving family, blessed with a son, Scott Warren, and daughters, Donna Edminstien and Jamie Warren, who carry forward Evelyn’s legacy of strength and grace.
Her nurturing spirit extended to her three grandchildren, Haleigh, Raegan, and Dusty Warren, who were the light of her life. Evelyn’s love for them was boundless, a testament to her enduring legacy as a matriarch whose love fostered unity and joy.
A proud graduate of Appalachian State University, Evelyn embarked on a remarkable career at Broyhill Furniture, where she dedicated 40 years of service. Her work was not simply a vocation but a passion, where she cultivated friendships and made significant contributions, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Evelyn’s life was anchored in faith and community. As an active member of Collettsville Baptist Church, she lived a life of service and devotion, finding joy in giving back and supporting others. Her spirit of generosity and her commitment to her faith community were emblematic of her character.
In accordance with Evelyn's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate her life. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to friends and family for their support and kindness during this time. Your love and prayers have been a source of comfort and strength.
