Evelyn Melody

Evelyn Melody, born on December 25, 1945, in Eugene, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. Evelyn was the daughter of Ellis and Pearl Brown, and she grew up alongside her siblings: Delbert, Dan, Don, and Dorothy Brown, who preceded her in death, and Cathy and Barbara who are still living. Evelyn's life was a testament to love, family, and unwavering faith. She married the love of her life, Al Melody, on December 6, 1965, and together they built a beautiful family. Evelyn was a devoted mother to her three children, Tim (Renee), Paul (Guisela), and Carol (Roy). Her legacy continues to flourish through her beloved granddaughter, Aliyah. In 1986, Evelyn earned an Associates of Arts degree in Secretarial Science, showcasing her dedication to learning and personal growth. Her career was as varied as it was impactful, including roles as a waitress, saddle stamper, and secretary, all of which were marked by her unwavering work ethic and kindness. Evelyn's heart was forever open to those around her. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her contentment with life, regardless of its challenges, was rooted in her deep faith in Jesus, which she carried with grace and humility. Beyond her professional endeavors, Evelyn found great joy in caring for her family and their beloved dogs. She possessed an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, often finding solace and adventure in the pages of a good book. A service celebrating Evelyn's life will be held at the Fallon Christian Life Center, located at 1435 Kaiser St, Fallon, NV, on August 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives Evelyn touched are invited to join in remembering her remarkable journey. Evelyn Melody's life was a beacon of love and kindness.
