Evelyn Mae Bice, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 5, 2026. Born on May 5, 1930, in Walker County, Georgia, Evelyn was the cherished daughter of Earl Thomas and Maudie Mae Mincey. Her life was a testament to love, devotion, and an unwavering faith. Evelyn married the love of her life, Almon Jesse Bice, on June 12, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Together, they crafted a beautiful tapestry of memories over 50 wonderful years, raising their three children in a home that resonated with warmth, laughter, and love. Although Almon preceded her in death on March 12, 1998, their enduring love story continues to inspire those who knew them. Evelyn's career as a Packer in the Clean-Room at Richmond Technologies in Mentone was marked by over two decades of dedicated service, culminating in her retirement in 1995. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life, as she was an active member of the Colton First Assembly of God, where her voice and guitar brought joy to many. Her passion for gardening was evident in the vibrant blooms she nurtured, and her enthusiasm for genealogy led her to meticulously document her family's history. Evelyn embraced modern technology with delight, using her computer to connect with family and friends through email and Facebook, a testament to her ever-curious spirit. Evelyn's heart was filled with a profound love for God, and her joy in life was palpable. Her laughter was a melody of happiness, hearty and contagious, leaving everyone around her feeling cherished and uplifted. She possessed the rare gift of making others feel loved and wanted, a legacy carried on by her surviving children, Janice Cohee and Janie Blair (Allen), and her brother, William Carroll Mincey. Her family, including her grandchildren Ceslie (Tanner), Jesse (Crystal), Justin (Jennifer), Cathy, Doug, and Michael(Jamie) and, along with 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, were her greatest joy and her proudest achievement. She was predeceased by her son, Jesse Wayne Bice, whose memory she cherished deeply. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Evelyn's life at a service held at Mark B Shaw - Montecito Memorial Park, located at 1525 N Waterman San Bernardino and 3520 E Washington Colton. In honoring Evelyn's memory, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her name. Evelyn Mae Bice's life was a beautiful journey, filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family and faith. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
