Evelyn Boling, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Evelyn’s journey began in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was born on May 24, 1947, to the late John and MaryAnn Boling. She was also predeceased by her cherished brothers, Eugene and Anthony Boling, whose memories she held dear throughout her life.
In 1976, Evelyn married the love of her life, Richard Boling, and together they spent an inseparable 50 years, building a life filled with love, companionship, and shared adventures. Their bond was a testament to the power of partnership, as they raised two wonderful children, Jack Boling and Elizabeth Akel, while creating a home that was a haven of warmth and laughter. Richard and Evelyn shared a passion for the simple pleasures in life, from spending serene weekends fishing to tending to their lush garden under the gentle Tennessee sun.
Evelyn's spirit was radiant, and she was known for her lovely smile that could brighten any room and her sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. Her generosity knew no bounds; she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness and compassion were not just traits but principles she lived by, touching many lives in profound ways.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her husband, Richard, her children, Jack and Elizabeth, her sister, Jacqueline Teeter, and her treasured grandchildren, Alijah Paquette and Damien Boling. Evelyn cherished her role as a grandmother, bringing the same warmth and joy to her grandchildren that she shared with everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Evelyn’s family will honor her life with a private ceremony on May 20, 2026, allowing those closest to her to reflect on the beautiful memories and the love she bestowed upon them.
Though Evelyn is no longer with us, her spirit endures in the hearts of her loved ones and those she touched with her kindness and humor. In remembering Evelyn, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering generosity that will never be forgotten.
