March 8, 1939 — February 18, 2026

Evalina "Eve" Hart, a beacon of warmth and compassion, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on March 8, 1939, in Greensburg, Indiana, Eve's 86 years were filled with love, service, and devotion to her family and community. Eve married the love of her life, Roy Hart, in Buffalo, New York. Together, they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage until Roy's passing. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship, inspiring all who knew them. Eve's heart was her family; she leaves behind a legacy of love in her son, Charles Hart, and her cherished step-daughters, Tanya Createing and Tawanna Denny. Her nurturing spirit continues to live on in her 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, each a testament to her life well-lived. Professionally, Eve dedicated several years of her life to St. Vincent's Hospital, where her caring nature touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues. Following her formal career, she continued her mission of compassion as a volunteer hospice worker, providing comfort and kindness to those in their final journey. Her work was not merely a job, but a calling she embraced with her entire being. Eve was a devout member of the First Baptist Church, where she found solace and strength. Her faith was her guiding light, and she was an active participant in the church community, known for her kindness and unwavering support of her fellow congregants. In honoring Eve's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held for family and close friends. Though the service is intimate, her spirit will be celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eve's name to a local hospice organization, ensuring her legacy of care and love continues. Eve Hart's life was a tapestry of love, service, and faith, woven with threads of joy, resilience, and compassion. Her journey on this earth has ended, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as her legacy lives on through the lives she enriched and the love she shared.
