Eva LaSage

September 7, 1961 — May 27, 2026

Eva LaSage, a cherished wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and compassionate friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the age of 64. She was surrounded by her loving family, who will forever hold her in their hearts. Born on September 7, 1961, in Glens Falls, New York, Eva was the beloved daughter of Donald and Madeline (Lavery) Fisk. She was predeceased by her parents and her infant daughter, Stacy Marie Flansburg, whose memory Eva held dear throughout her life. Eva's journey through life was filled with love, resilience, and dedication. She graduated with the class of 1979 from St. Mary's Academy in Glens Falls, where she cultivated a strong foundation of faith and learning. Eva continued her education at Adirondack Community College, where she completed the Clerical Skills Program with the highest grade point average in her class, a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence. In 1980, Eva married Scott Flansburg in her hometown of Glens Falls, and together they raised four wonderful children: Jessica Goodison (Ryan), Douglas Flansburg, Rebeka Flansburg, and Nicole Arcuri (John). Although their paths diverged in 2014, Eva remained a steadfast pillar of love and support for her family. Her heart found new companionship in 2017 when she married William LaSage at Holy Family Church in Watertown, and they created a warm and welcoming home in Sackets Harbor. Eva's professional life was marked by dedication and impact. She retired as a Senior Capital Program Analyst from the New York Department of Transportation in Watertown, where her colleagues admired her for her diligence and integrity. Faith was a cornerstone of Eva's life. As an active member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Henderson, she lived her beliefs through service and devotion. She found joy and connection in Bible Study at St. Cecilia's Church in Adams and cherished her time at Women's retreats in the Diocese of Ogdensburg. Eva's legacy is beautifully carried forward by her surviving family: her beloved husband, William LaSage, her four loving children, and her three cherished granddaughters, Leanne Kennedy, Ashleigh Goodison, and Lizzie Arcuri. Her sisters, Irene Magee and Donna Nadeau, also survive her, and together, they celebrated the bonds of sisterhood. A service honoring Eva's life will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Henderson, with interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Watertown, where she will be laid to rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to SPCA Watertown, reflecting Eva's love for animals and her generous spirit. As we bid farewell to Eva, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, faith, and an enduring kindness that touched all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and a family enriched by her presence, and she will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
