In Loving Memory of Eutilda Elizabeth Gentles-Webley It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Eutilda Elizabeth Gentles-Webley, who departed this world on September 16, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on May 26, 1935, in the serene town of Clarendon, Jamaica, Eutilda was the cherished daughter of Mr. Gentles and Adina Morris. She was predeceased by her loving parents and her dear aunt, Estella Morris, who held a special place in her heart. Eutilda's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. She began her professional journey as a nurse in England before immigrating to the United States in February of 1979. Her compassionate nature and commitment to caring for others led her to work at Chelsea Place and Lorraine Manor, where she touched the lives of countless individuals with her warmth and kindness. In her personal life, Eutilda was known for her sharp wit and intelligence. Her sense of humor and bright spirit brought joy to all who knew her. She was deeply devoted to her faith and found great solace in attending the Calvary Church of God in Christ on Blue Hills Avenue, where she was a beloved member of the congregation. Eutilda found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as crocheting, a hobby that allowed her to express her creativity and warmth. Her hands crafted beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations to come. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Nicola Webley Gonzalez and Gay Codella Daley (Webley), along with her fiancé Thyan Bryan. Her son, Evert Mullings, along with his wife Pauline, resides in the UK. Eutilda's legacy extends to her two sisters, affectionately known as Aunt G and Aunty Mercy, as well as several nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close. Eutilda was blessed with a large and loving family, including seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. Her love and guidance will continue to inspire them as they carry her legacy forward. A celebration of Eutilda's life will be held on September 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Church of God in Christ, located at 770 Blue Hills Avenue, Hartford, CT 06112. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Eutilda's generous spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the congregation at Calvary Church for their unwavering compassion and support during this difficult time. Eutilda will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and admiration by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
