Eulalia Belloc Ortega
February 20, 1928 — May 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Eulalia Belloc Ortega, who left us surrounded by the warmth and love of her family on May 27, 2026. Born on February 20, 1928, in the quaint town of Ruidosa, Texas, Eulalia graced the world with her presence for 98 remarkable years, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience.
Eulalia was the cherished daughter of Pedro and Cecilia Rodriguez Belloc. She shared her life's journey with her soulmate, Jose De La Luz Ortega, whom she married on November 4, 1945. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, nurturing a family that would grow to span five generations. Her beloved husband, Jose, and her son, Joe Ortega, along with two daughters, her parents, siblings, and grandchildren Christina Cevedia and David Lopez, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a devoted family who continue to honor her legacy: daughters Cecilia (Hector) Villegas, Delma (Juvenal) Lopez, Maria (Jose) Chavez, Maria Elena Ortega, and Mary (Jimmy) Glover; sons Pedro Ortega and Hector (Frances) Ortega. Her family tree has flourished with 100 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply.
Eulalia's career as a Rehab Technician at the Arizona Training Center, beginning in 1963, spanned two decades. Before this, she toiled as a farm laborer, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance. Her colleagues and the community remember her dedication and compassion, qualities she generously extended to everyone she encountered.
A woman of boundless love and generosity, Eulalia was known for her open heart and open home. Her kitchen was a haven where delicious meals were prepared with love, and no one left her table hungry. She was a beacon of warmth and kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her witty personality and memorable conversations left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Eulalia's wisdom echoed through her words, often reminding her grandchildren, "Your education is your future; do not let anyone stand in your way."
Eulalia's life will be celebrated and her spirit honored at a service on June 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Paradise Grande Events, located at 3444 E Hwy 84, Eloy, AZ 85131. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and the countless lives she touched.
Though her physical presence will be profoundly missed, the love and values she imparted will live on in the hearts of her extensive family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dear Eulalia, knowing that your legacy of love and kindness will endure for generations to come.
