Eugene Harrison

Eugene Lee Harrison, 81, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 11, 2026, in De Soto, Missouri. He was born March 2, 1945, in West Plains, Missouri, the son of Ray Vaughn Harrison and Mildred (Price) Harrison. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Army. His military service was an important part of his life and reflected the dedication, commitment, and strong work ethic that he carried with him throughout the years. After returning home from his service, Gene began a long and dedicated career with Chrysler, where he worked as a repairman for more than 40 years. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skill and ability to fix things. In addition to his career with Chrysler, Gene also worked as a locksmith for more than 25 years. His willingness to work hard and help others was evident throughout his life. While Gene was proud of his military service and devoted much of his life to his work, his family was always at the heart of what mattered most to him. He shared 31 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Yvonne, and treasured the time they spent together. Gene will be remembered as a dedicated husband, a hardworking man, and someone who lived a life marked by service to his country, commitment to his work, and love for his family. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Yvonne (Black) Harrison of De Soto, Missouri, and his brother, Chester (Eva) Harrison, sisters, Mary (Vernon) Shaw, Betty Murr, and Lois (Herb) Dawson. Gene was preceded in death by his father, Ray Vaughn Harrison, his mother, Mildred (Price) Harrison, and his brother-in-law, Don Murr. Inurnment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, September,21 2026
