The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Eugene’s Message

If I leave this world tomorrow, don’t you cry too long for me. I’ve been walking through the shadows but there’s a light I want to see. Maybe God’s got something greater than this fight I could not win. So, I’ll close my eyes in silence and let his mercy pull me in. Thy Will Be Done. Oh, I’m laying down my pride, I’ve buried all my demons, I’m ready for the ride. If there’s truth beyond this highway, past the pain and all the scars, then take me Home tonight Lord, I’m reaching for the stars. I’ve made peace with all my failures, and the hell I went right through. Ain’t no preacher ever told me what my heart already knew. There’s a grace that don’t need earning and a love that don’t let go. If Heaven's waiting yonder, then I’m finally going home. Lord, I ain’t running anymore. This soul’s been tired of wandering, knocking on a lock front door. But if You’re calling me to something, more than I could understand, maybe You had a bigger dream than any man ever planned. I ain’t gone. I’m just moving to the other side of night where the broken hearts are mended and the blind are given sight. Lord, I trust You with it all. This road has been a battle but I was listening through it all. So, if I leave this world tomorrow, know that my soul has finally flown. I’m just heading to the mystery where the lost come home. Thy Will Be Done. Maybe God had a bigger plan for me than I ever dared to see….. Eugene’s going home message: see your big plan, love one another, forgive one another, trust in the promise of Heaven.
