Euel Thomas Jenson
December 22, 1936 — August 12, 2026
Euel Thomas Jenson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 12, 2026, at Mercy Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Born on December 22, 1936, in Hanna, Oklahoma, Euel's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a remarkable ability to uplift those around him.
Euel was the cherished son of Austin Thomas Jenson and Leona Burns Jenson, who along with his siblings and first wife, Rita, predeceased him. His beloved wife, Bonnie Marie Jenson, also preceded him in death. He leaves behind his brother, Clint Jenson of Denair, California, with whom he shared a deep bond. They spoke daily, and Clint will miss him dearly.
Euel was a devoted father to his children, Dianna & Verl Brorsen of Perry, OK, Doug & Tina Walker of Crescent, OK, Dan & Lisa Walker of Crosby, TX, and David and Danyele Walker of Crescent, OK. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Euel's career began at the tender age of 16 when he joined OG&E in 1953. Rising through the ranks to become a Line-man Superintendent, Euel was known for his hard work, loyalty, and expertise. His dedication to the company was unwavering until his retirement in 1994, at which point he humorously revealed that he had started working two years younger than allowed.
An active member of his community, Euel was raised in the Baptist faith and was known for quoting scripture to those around him. His love for shuffleboard and golf was well-known, and he was a formidable competitor. Euel was affectionately known as "The Commissioner" of the Chisler's at Cedar Valley Golf Club, and he continued to impress with his golfing skills until his very last tournament at the age of 89.
Euel's life was a testament to kindness, humor, and generosity. With a quick wit and a warm heart, he brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. His family and friends were blessed to know a man who lived by the words of John Wayne: "I have tried to live my life so that my family would love me and my friends respect me. The others can do whatever the hell they please."
A celebration of Euel's life will be held on August 17, 2026, at 10:20 AM at the First Baptist Church, 220 South Grand Street, Crescent, OK 73028. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Euel's memory.
Euel Thomas Jenson's legacy of love, strength, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will continue to inspire and uplift, reminding us to cherish each moment and each other.
