In Loving Memory

Ethan Burnett
January 18, 2008 — August 10, 2026
Ethan Burnett, a cherished young soul, was born on January 18, 2008, in Westlake, Louisiana, and was taken from us far too soon on August 10, 2026, due to a tragic car wreck. In his short time with us, Ethan left an indelible mark on the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ethan was the beloved son of Ashly and Terry Jacobson, who raised him with immense love and care. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took great pride in following in his father's footsteps by pursuing a career in construction. Ethan was a dedicated worker, eager to learn and contribute, and his future was bright with promise.
A graduate of Westlake High School in 2025, Ethan was known for his kind heart and infectious sense of humor. His laughter could light up a room, and his genuine nature made him a joy to be around. Ethan was the kind of person who went out of his way to care for his family and friends, always putting others before himself.
Ethan had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found enjoying his hobbies—fishing by the serene lakes, playing baseball with a passion, and working on his car, which was one of his great joys. These activities brought him happiness and allowed him to connect with those he loved.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Ashly and Terry Jacobson, his brothers Austin Duraso and Hunter Burnett, and his sister Gabrielle Duhon. Each of them carries a piece of Ethan's spirit and cherishes the countless memories they shared. Ethan was predeceased by his uncle, Timothy Duraso, with whom he shared a close bond.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined them in prayers and companionship before Ethan's passing. Their support has been a source of comfort during this difficult time.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Ethan's life. His family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ethan's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting the compassion and generosity that Ethan exemplified in his life.
Ethan Burnett will be remembered for the joy and love he brought into the world. Though his time with us was brief, his legacy of kindness and laughter will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
