September 20, 1953 — June 11, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Esther Williams Hoover, who left this world peacefully on June 11, 2026, at the Methodist Oaks, after a long and courageous battle. Born on September 20, 1953, in Neese, South Carolina, Esther was the cherished daughter of the late Legree and Gloria Williams.
Esther was a beacon of kindness and compassion throughout her life. With a career spanning over 25 years as a home health aide, her gentle spirit, patience, and unwavering dedication to caring for others touched the hearts of many. Her life's work provided comfort and dignity to those she served, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Family was at the heart of who Esther was. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Legree and Gloria Williams; her precious granddaughter, Brianna Williams; her devoted sisters, Licia Williams and Mary Davis; and her dear brother, Wade Williams. Esther is survived by her loving children, Chastity Williams and Randy (Amanda) Williams, who continue to carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. She was a proud grandmother to Carrie (Tripp) Garrick, Ashlynne Wolfe, Brandon Williams, Lizzie Wolfe, Alley Williams, Abby Williams, Maci Garrick, Logan Garrick, and Landon Garrick, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and wisdom. Esther also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
Beyond her professional and familial commitments, Esther found solace and joy in the simple pleasure of coloring. This hobby was a reflection of her vibrant soul and her ability to find beauty in the world around her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Oaks and Agape Hospice for their exceptional care and support during Esther's final days. Their compassion and dedication provided comfort and peace to Esther and her family, for which they are eternally grateful.
Esther Williams Hoover will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and a kind-hearted friend. Her legacy of love, care, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with those she loved and lost, watching over us with her gentle smile.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Esther's memory, to continue her legacy of helping and caring for others.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
