Esther Lane

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Esther Lane, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on September 7, 2026. Born on May 27, 1940, Esther was a beacon of warmth and wisdom, whose spirited nature touched the lives of many. Esther was the beloved daughter of Gertrude Leger, who predeceased her, and she was reunited in eternal rest with her husband, Harvey Lane Sr., her daughter Susan, and her grandson Michael. Esther and Harvey shared a timeless love, marrying on his birthday, August 1st, and spending over four decades together. Their union was blessed with seven children, who carried on their legacy of love and resilience. A matriarch in every sense, Esther's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her sister Mary; daughters Sandra, Latrell, and Cindy; and her son Harry. Her legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren: Chris, Nicole, Randal, Bridget, Donnette, Monica, Hugh Jr., Tiffany, Jordan, Megan, Whisper, Wonder, and Wyze, as well as countless great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Esther embraced life with fervor and an open heart. She was known for her honesty and directness, never hesitating to share her thoughts and feelings. Her love for others was wholehearted and unwavering. Esther found joy in the simple pleasures, such as boating on the St. John's River, indulging in episodes of Nancy Grace, and trying her luck with the lottery. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, where guests were always welcome, no matter how they arrived. Esther often found solace in her kitchen, where her heart was poured into every dish she lovingly prepared. In honoring Esther's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and legacy. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make donations to a charity of their choice, reflecting the kindness and generosity that Esther embodied throughout her life. Esther Lane's indomitable spirit, boundless love, and zest for life will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends, illuminating the path of love and resilience she so gracefully walked.
