Esther F. Martinez January 27, 1931 - September 20, 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Esther F. Martinez, who left this world in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 27, 1931, in the small town of Coupland, Texas, Esther brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered throughout her 95 years of life. Esther was the cherished daughter of Tomás and Concepcion Castillo, who instilled in her a strong work ethic and a love for family. She spent her early years working alongside her siblings in the fields, a testament to her tireless spirit and dedication. In the neighboring town of Bartlett, Esther met the love of her life, Albert Martinez. The two were married on January 28, 1949, and together they built a beautiful life, raising five children. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she devoted herself to nurturing them with unwavering love and support. Esther was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert, her parents, and her sons-in-law Celestino Ramirez and Armando Ortiz. Grandson Christopher Ortiz. Her memory and legacy continue to live on through her children: Marie Ramirez, Ernest Martinez (wife Olga), Arthur Martinez Sr. (wife Linda), Michael Martinez (wife Tammy) and Rosie Ortiz and her 15 adoring grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren who brought immense happiness to her life. A woman of many talents, Esther worked as a seamstress and a home health caretaker, roles in which her compassion and kindness shone brightly. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel cared for and welcomed, often expressed through her delicious home-cooked meals that filled her home with an irresistible aroma. Esther had a passion for the outdoors, spending countless hours tending to her rose bushes and plants. She adored her furry companions and cherished the simple pleasures of sitting with them by her side. A lover of life, Esther had an infectious sense of humor and a quick wit that endeared her to all who knew her. She was known for her impeccable style, always dressed to the nines, and for her love of music and dancing, which brought vibrancy and joy to her gatherings with family and friends. Esther will be remembered as a caring, loving, and funny woman who had an extraordinary ability to bring joy to others. Her legacy of love and laughter will forever be treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing her. A Memorial Rosary service to celebrate Esther's life will be held on September 29, 2026, at 10:00 am to 10:30 am at Providence Funeral Home, in Taylor Texas. Followed by a Memorial Mass Service at Providence Funeral beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Esther's honor. Esther F. Martinez will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She was a remarkable woman, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a beloved friend. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the beauty of the human spirit.
