It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Estelle Lee Clifton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on June 29, 2026, at the age of 73. Estelle was born on June 7, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Pearl and Russell Clifton. He was the youngest sibling in a close-knit family, predeceased by his sisters Anne, Barb, Janice, and Rose, and brothers George, Jesse, and Wayne, each of whom he held dear in his heart. Estelle's journey was marked by a deep love and commitment to his wife, Linda Sue Clifton, whom he married on April 10, 1972, in Newport, Kentucky. Their union, which spanned an extraordinary 54 years, was a testament to their enduring dedication and love. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventures, and shared dreams. Their daughter, Linda Lee Clifton, and granddaughter, Tessa Lee Clifton, were the light of Estelle's life, bringing him endless joy and pride. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart, and his best friend, Charles Moore, with whom he shared countless memorable moments. Estelle's professional journey was as diverse as it was fulfilling. He embarked on his career with a variety of roles before finding his calling as a security officer at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. His caring nature and unwavering dedication made him a valued member of the community. In 1989, Estelle transitioned to a new chapter as a taxi cab driver, a role that allowed him to connect with the vibrant tapestry of life in Cincinnati. His love for the open road led him to join JB Hunt in 1991 as an over-the-road driver, where he found solace and purpose until his transfer to a drop lot in 2001. After a lifetime of hard work, Estelle retired in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and perseverance. In his leisure, Estelle was a man of varied interests, each reflecting a different facet of his character. An avid dog trainer, he found joy in nurturing and guiding his canine companions. He was equally passionate about shooting, fishing, and the ever-evolving world of computers. Estelle's love for gaming led him to create the Royal Knights Clan (RKC), a gaming family that thrived in the virtual landscapes of Strong Hold and Medal of Honor. This community was more than just a group of gamers; it was an extension of Estelle's own family, bound by shared adventures and camaraderie. Known for his infectious humor and generous spirit, Estelle had a knack for brightening any room with a well-timed joke. He was always ready with practical advice, often helping others navigate the complexities of life with his insightful tips on saving taxes. Estelle's warmth and wisdom left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his memory will be forever cherished. A celebration of Estelle's life will be held to honor the extraordinary journey of a man who touched so many lives. As we remember Estelle, we are reminded of the love and laughter he shared and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
