It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Estefania Raya, who departed this world peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on May 1, 1939, in the picturesque town of Cueramaro Guanajuato, Mexico, Estefania was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known for her unwavering spirit and her ability to light up any room with her heartwarming smile. Estefania was the cherished daughter of Juanna and Julio, who instilled in her the values of compassion and hospitality that she carried throughout her life. In March 1957, she married the love of her life, Refugio Rasso, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and an unbreakable bond that lasted until Refugio's passing in October 1989. A devoted mother, Estefania is survived by her loving children: Isidro, Fidel, Manuel, Velia, and Maria. Her legacy of kindness and love extends to her 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she was a pillar of strength and guidance for each generation. Estefania was predeceased by her beloved parents Juanna and Julio, her cherished daughter-in-law Maria, and her dear husband Refugio. Despite these profound losses, Estefania remained resilient, embodying grace and warmth that never wavered. Her home was a sanctuary, a place where everyone felt welcome and loved. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel like family, offering not just a warm meal, but a warm heart. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact of a generous spirit. Estefania's legacy is one of love and hospitality, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her. As our family gathers to celebrate her remarkable life, we invite all who knew Estefania to join us in remembering a woman who touched so many lives.
