Erni Lynn Jones (Brown)
June 12, 1969 — March 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Erni Lynn Jones (née Brown), who left us peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 56. Surrounded by her loving family, Erni left this world in the comfort of her home, as she had always wished.
Born on June 12, 1969, Erni was the cherished daughter of Jackie Laverne Hogue (Brown) and Ernest Lamont Lane, both of whom predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Dale Jones, whose memory she held dear throughout her life.
Erni's vibrant spirit is carried on by her three adoring children: Anthony James Wayne Carmichael, Jessica Grimes, and William Taylor Freeman. She was a devoted grandmother to her four treasured grandchildren: Logan and Caiden Carmichael, and Olivia. Her family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished forever.
A woman of boundless energy and enthusiasm, Erni found solace and joy in the great outdoors. She was an avid outdoors-woman, and during the summer months, she could often be found by a river, fishing, floating, or simply basking in the serene beauty of nature. Her love for the outdoors was a testament to her adventurous spirit and her deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
Erni was known far and wide for her quick humor and fiery spirit. Her infectious laughter and warm personality made her a stranger to none and a friend to all. Always ready with a helping hand, she touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible impact on everyone she met. Her generosity and kindness were matched only by her fierce loyalty to those she loved.
In accordance with Erni's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. She wanted her departure to be a personal and intimate affair, attended by those she held closest in her heart.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who shared in Erni's journey. In her own words, Erni wished to thank every person who came into her life and for every moment shared, whether good, bad, or indifferent. To her, you all mattered.
We invite you to remember Erni not in sorrow, but in joy—with fond memories of her laughter, her love of nature, and the warmth she brought into our lives. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Erni's memory by spending time in nature, appreciating its beauty, and sharing a smile or a kind word with a stranger. These were the simple joys that filled her life with meaning and happiness.
Rest in peace, dear Erni. Your legacy of love and laughter will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
