Ernesto A. Vasquez, fondly known as "Andrew" to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on June 24, 1990, in El Paso, Texas, Andrew was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. Andrew was the cherished son of Terry Vasquez and Ernesto Aguilera, who raised him in a home filled with love, faith, and resilience. He is preceded in death by his dear grandmother, Maria Vasquez, and several cousins, whom he always remembered with warmth and affection. His legacy of love continues through his surviving family members: his devoted brothers, Corey and Vincent Vasquez, sister-in-law Nicole, and his cherished nieces and nephews, Chloe, Rylee, Levi, and Calum. They were the light of his life, and he took immense joy in watching them grow. An alumnus of J.M. Hanks High School, Andrew graduated in 2009, leaving behind memories of his lively spirit and inquisitive mind. He pursued his passion for language and communication by attending El Paso Community College, where he earned his associate degree in Language Arts. Education was a cornerstone of Andrew's life, and he believed in the power of words to inspire and connect people. Andrew's enduringly quirky personality was his hallmark. Known for his reserved and observant demeanor, he possessed an odd spark of loving humor that endeared him to everyone he met. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to find joy in the simplest moments made him a treasured companion. His fearlessness in facing life's challenges was rooted in his deep faith, understanding that, as he often said, "life was temporary and that Jesus alone was the world's only provision to be saved unto eternal life." A man of quiet strength and gentle kindness, Andrew embraced life fully, never shying away from the tasks at hand. He approached each day with a sense of purpose, always mindful of the fleeting nature of life and the eternal promise of salvation. His unwavering faith was a beacon of hope for many, providing comfort and guidance to those around him. Andrew's unexpected departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, yet his spirit lives on in the cherished memories and the love he so generously gave. His family invites all who knew Andrew to celebrate his life and legacy, a life that was defined by love, laughter, and an unyielding faith in the goodness of humanity. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the beautiful life Andrew led and the enduring impact he made on those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and uplift us all.
