It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Erika Morris, who departed this world on April 15, 2026, at the tender age of 29. Born on June 1, 1996, in Memphis, Tennessee, Erika was a beacon of light and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her untimely departure due to complications from an automobile accident has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled. Erika was the cherished daughter of Issac and Christine Morris, who nurtured her with love and wisdom throughout her life. She was predeceased by her brother, Sylvester Odum, and her aunts Latoya Tricksey, Krystal Tricksey, Calandra Tricksey, and Mike Tricksey, who all welcomed her with open arms into eternity. She leaves behind a devoted family, including her siblings, extended family, and a circle of close friends who will forever cherish her memory. A proud graduate of Kingsbury High School, Erika pursued her passion for caring for others by obtaining her C.N.A. license from Massnas Tech in Memphis, TN. Her dedication to the field of nursing was unparalleled, and she furthered her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.). Erika's commitment to her career was unwavering, and she had recently returned to school to pursue her Registered Nurse (R.N.) qualification when fate intervened. Her dreams were cut short, but her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. Erika’s life was a testament to kindness and resilience. She possessed an innate ability to connect with people, bringing comfort and joy into their lives. Her laughter was infectious, her smile radiant, and her heart as big as the sky. She was a friend to all, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, and her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. To honor Erika’s life, a memorial service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the home of her beloved Auntie Ruth Garrett, located at 1544 Vinton Ave, Memphis, TN 38104. The Morris family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have supported them during this difficult time. Your presence, love, and prayers are a source of comfort and strength. In these moments of sorrow, let us remember the joy Erika brought into our lives and find solace in the memories we shared. Her legacy is not one of tragedy, but of love, kindness, and the indomitable spirit of a young woman who lived her life with purpose and grace. We, the Morris family, thank everyone and appreciate the support of family and friends in this hard and difficult time. May Erika Morris rest in eternal peace, forever cherished in our hearts.
