Ericka Joan Holt

Ericka Joan Holt, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2026, surrounded by her family and enveloped in love. Born on October 13, 1956, in Xenia, Ohio, Ericka was the daughter of the late William and Mary Green. She was a cherished soul whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
From an early age, Ericka's life was filled with love and laughter, a testament to the values instilled by her parents. A dedicated family woman, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Cecil and Charles, her sister Charlene Denny, her nephew Jacob Scoby, and her precious great-granddaughter, June Taylor Kanak.
Ericka shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, William Lee Holt, whom she married on May 25, 1973. Together, they built a life rich in love and adventure, raising their children and welcoming each grandchild and great-grandchild with open arms and hearts full of pride.
She is survived by her devoted husband, William; her children, Natasha Renee Holt, Nicole (Randy Nye) Danielle Holt, Nathan (Tasha Holland) Lee Holt, and Eric Jason Holt. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Hayley (Brandon Sams) Monhollen, Erika Nance, Sheridan Holt, Robby Swayne, Taylor (Zach Hunt) Kanak, Rider Swayne, Max Wenger, Garrett and Ryan Nye; and her great-grandchildren, Kylin Sams, Roeynn Swayne, Kanon Sams, and Amariya Alexander. Ericka's love also embraced her siblings, Sharon (Danny) McFarland, William (Shirley) Green, Dotty (David) Brewer, and Patty McCoy. Ericka also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews whom adored her. Her beloved cat Pepper, is lost without her.
Ericka will always be remembered for her sarcastic sense of humor and her profound love for all living things. She had a knack for turning everyday moments into funny memories, whether through her love of cooking that gathered everyone around the table or her infectious laughter during family game nights. Her passion for playing cards and games with her family, riding motorcycles with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the highlights of her life.
A dinner to celebrate Ericka's legacy will take place on Sunday August 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 682 W 2nd St., Xenia, Ohio 45385. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of a woman who touched so many hearts.
Ericka Joan Holt will forever be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering strength, and the joy she brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a guiding light of love and compassion.
