ERICK "EAZYE" D'ANDRE JOHN

October 2, 1993 — April 9, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Erick "EazyE" D'Andre John, who departed this world on April 9, 2026, at the age of 32. Erick was born on October 2, 1993, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and was a cherished son of Allan "Cooley" John and Cynthia Guillory Igwebuike. Erick's life was tragically cut short when he was struck by a drunk driver while returning home from his night shift at Onsite Concrete Solution in Cameron, LA. Despite the brevity of his time with us, Erick left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Erick was a proud alumnus of Sulphur High School, graduating with the class of 2012. He found his professional calling at Onsite Concrete Solution, where his dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and supervisors alike. Erick's commitment extended beyond his job; he was an active member of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA, under the leadership of Pastor Samuel C. Tolbert Jr. One of Erick's greatest joys was spending time with his two beloved sons, Kingston Levi and Denali Royale A. John, who were the light of his life. Though Erick was never married, he shared strong bonds with Cassiopeia "Cassie" Franklin and Antoinette Hadnot, the mothers of his children, who remain integral parts of his family. Erick's adventurous spirit and love for life were evident in his hobbies and interests. He found peace and joy in horseback riding and relished playing on the PlayStation with his brothers, nephews, and friends. These simple pleasures brought Erick immense happiness and allowed him to connect deeply with those around him. Erick is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He leaves behind his parents, Allan "Cooley" John and Cynthia Guillory (Uchenna) Igwebuike; sister, Chanel R. (Roy) Harris II; four brothers, Allan W. John Jr., Kevin L. (Jasmine) John, Leonard P. (Juanea) Bass Jr., and Bryan "BK" John; his grandmother, Corena "Gret" August; and the mothers of his children, Cassiopeia "Cassie" Franklin and Antoinette Hadnot. Additionally, Erick is remembered by his bonus children, Akili Watson, Ky'Rieh Myles, Riley and Aden Hadnot, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, special friends, and other relatives who held a special place in his heart. Erick was predeceased by his grandmothers, Lee Esther Guillory and Barbara A. Trahan; grandfathers, Leroy "BI" John and Harry August; aunt Melissa A. John; uncles Clifford D. Guillory and Leroy "Peanut" John; twin nephews Julian and Roy Harris III; and cousin Leroy D. Williams. A service to honor and celebrate Erick's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, located at 300 N. Blake Street. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have provided support and comfort during this difficult time. In a special message, Erick's family wishes to express their deepest thanks to everyone who has reached out with love and condolences. Your kindness and prayers have been a source of strength and solace. Erick "EazyE" D'Andre John will forever be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought into the lives of those he encountered. Though his time with us was brief, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
