Born on April 5, 1986, in Florence, South Carolina, Eric's journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family, an unwavering work ethic, and a passion for the simple joys that life offered. Eric was the treasured son of Jimmy and Susan Johnson of Lane, South Carolina, and Robyn and Robert Cooper of Andrews, South Carolina. His spirited nature and infectious laughter filled the hearts of all who knew him. He was the kind of person who found joy in the little things, whether it was casting a line while fishing, sitting quietly in the woods during a hunt, or cheering on his favorite South Carolina Gamecocks football team. In 2011, Eric married the love of his life, Kristina Edwards Johnson. Together, they built a life brimming with love and laughter. For over 14 years, Kristina and Eric shared countless memories, creating a warm and loving home for their precious son, Lawton Eric Johnson, who was the light of Eric's life. Eric's professional journey was marked by dedication and skill. As an Individual Contractor for Urban Electric Company, he was respected and admired by his colleagues for his hard work and integrity. His ability to transform visions into reality was a testament to his talent and commitment. Family was the cornerstone of Eric's life. He adored spending time with his loved ones, often gathering them around a grill to share stories and enjoy his culinary creations. His brother, David Johnson of Lane, South Carolina, was not only his sibling but also his lifelong friend. Eric's joy extended to his niece, Curry Edwards, and his nephews, Marshall Johnson, Emmett Johnson, and Will Edwards, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Eric's warmth and kindness were felt by all who had the privilege to know him. His father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Jodie Edwards of Halls, TN, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eric and Marley Edwards, were an integral part of his extended family, and he cherished the bond he shared with them. Though his journey on earth was far too brief, Eric's legacy will forever live on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories that his family and friends will hold dear. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Eric's memory and celebrate the incredible life he lived.
