It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Rocelious Browning, fondly known as Rocelious, who left this world on February 8, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on June 21, 1988, in Birmingham, Alabama, Rocelious was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, whose life and love touched so many. Rocelious was the cherished son of Danita Browning and Stephen Truss, who raised him with love and instilled in him the values of kindness, resilience, and integrity. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and memory live on through his beloved children, daughter E'Mauria Roshell Browning and son Eric Rocelious Browning Jr., who were the light of his life and his greatest pride. A proud graduate of Parker High School, class of 2006, Rocelious carried the lessons and friendships from his youth throughout his life. His career at Amazon Warehouse, where he worked from 2020 until his passing, was a testament to his dedication, strong work ethic, and the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues. Rocelious was a man of deep familial bonds, and his love for his family was boundless. He shared a special connection with his sisters, Tammy Stewart, Keisha Browning, Candice Wilson, and Erica Browning, and with his brothers, Derick Browning (Ashley) and Keith Sutton. He was a guiding light and a source of unwavering support for them all. Rocelious also shared a cherished companionship with Latoya Phillips, whose presence was a constant comfort in his life. Though his time with us was far too short, Rocelious's legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. His family and friends will always remember his infectious smile, his generous nature, and the warmth he brought into every room. Rocelious was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Billy Browning, who undoubtedly welcomed him into heaven with open arms. A celebration of Rocelious's life will be held on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Christian Valley Baptist Church, located at 3104 33rd Terrace N, Birmingham, AL 35207. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember a life so well lived. As we grieve this tremendous loss, we take solace in the words of the Lord, reminded that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalms 34:18). Rocelious's spirit will forever be a beacon of love and hope for all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rocelious's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his generous and caring nature. Rest in peace, dear Rocelious. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
