Eric Christopher Crain Sr

Eric Christopher Crain Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at his home on October 3, 2026, following a sudden heart attack. Born on August 7, 1963, in San Diego, CA, Eric lived a life filled with love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to those around him. Eric was the cherished son of the late Irene Morse and Earl Crain and was predeceased by his father, his sister Evelyn Jeannette George, his daughter Starnesia Crain, and his mother, Irene. His legacy continues through the lives of those he touched, particularly his wife, Nedra Young, whom he married on June 10, 2024, after 12 wonderful years together. In their short but fulfilling marriage, they shared a deep love and raised a beautiful blended family. Eric's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his son, Eric Christopher Crain Jr., his daughter Deajanay Young, and his treasured grandchildren, Neveah Crain, E'Riah Crain, Eric Christopher Crain III, and Elijah Crain. His nurturing spirit extended to his niece, Elexis Mitcham Shirley Kelly, his nephews, Dickie George, Andre Brown, and Richard Spence his great-niece, Ke'Launa, Ja'Leyah and Ja'Stice, along with his great-nephew, Jamarie. Each of them held a special place in his heart. A man of many talents and interests, Eric was known for his love of cooking and his generous spirit, often feeding the neighborhood and spreading joy through his culinary creations. His passion for education and his belief in the potential of others inspired those around him to strive for greatness. Eric's ability to listen with empathy, yet speak with candid honesty, made him a trusted confidant to many. Eric's warmth and welcoming nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His ability to make others feel at home, paired with his infectious laughter and genuine care for others, made every interaction with him memorable and meaningful.
