Eric Burton Jr

September 18, 1994 — May 16, 2026

It is with great sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved Eric Burton Jr., who left this world on May 16, 2026, at the age of 31. Born on September 18, 1994, in Tulare, CA, Eric was a beacon of joy and a source of comfort to all who knew him. He brought warmth and laughter wherever he went, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. Eric was the cherished son of Syreeta Clark and the late Eric Burton Sr. He was a devoted brother to Jonell Burton, Ejaiya Burton, Savion Burton, Erykah Burton, and Kayla Burton. Along with his loving mother and siblings, Eric is survived by his dear cousin, Franklin Lockard, who was more like a brother to him. His father, Eric Burton Sr., and his beloved grandmother, Roxanna Smith, predeceased him and have now welcomed him into eternal peace. Eric was a proud graduate of Tulare Western, where he made lifelong friends and nurtured his quick wit and warm smile. Known for his remarkable ability to lighten any mood with a joke and his gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, Eric was a friend to all. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and he was always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand to those in need. Eric's life was a testament to the beauty of kindness and the power of human connection. He lived his days with a joyous spirit, filling the lives of those around him with laughter and love. His legacy is one of compassion, humor, and a heart that knew no bounds. A celebration of Eric's life will be held on June 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Living Christ Church, located at 2516 M St. We invite all who knew Eric to join us in commemorating his remarkable life and the memories we shared. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Eric's name, honoring his generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others. Though he is no longer with us in body, Eric Burton Jr.'s spirit will live on in the laughter he inspired, the kindness he showed, and the love he gave. He will forever be missed but never forgotten.
