Born on December 7, 1931, in the quaint town of Memphis Tennessee, she was the cherished daughter of Thad and Mable Owens. Emma's life was one of quiet strength and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Emma's early years were spent in the comforting embrace of her family, where she was surrounded by the love of her parents and siblings. She excelled in her studies and graduated from Trezvant High School. With a humble heart, she chose a career as a maid, where her diligent work ethic and kind nature touched the lives of many.
Family was the cornerstone of Emma's life. She was predeceased by her cherished father, Thad Owens, and her beloved siblings, Alma, Earnestine, Albert, and James. Despite the loss of her loved ones, Emma found joy and purpose in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward her spirit of kindness and compassion.
Emma's life will be celebrated on September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Millington Church of Christ, located at 7320 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38053, United States. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and reflect on the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.
