Emma Jean Williams
June 4, 1936 — March 27, 2026
Emma Jean Williams, born on June 4, 1936, in the quaint town of Clare, Michigan, has peacefully departed from this world on March 27, 2026, at Midland Hospital. She was a beacon of love and warmth throughout her 89 years, touching countless lives with her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness.
Emma was the beloved daughter of Gladys and Nathanial Dangler, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald Williams, whom she married on a sunny July day in 1956. Together, they built a life that was rich in love and filled with cherished memories, raising three wonderful children.
Emma and Don shared a beautiful partnership that lasted until Don's passing in 2013, but their union continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know them. They were devoted parents to Sharon Williams of Florence, SC, Randy Williams of Farwell, MI, and Patricia Boynton of Hesperia, MI. Emma’s legacy is further carried on by her four grandchildren—Charity Killian, Brandon Killian, Brent Killian, and Katherine Goins—and her four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Zaiden, Everly, and Winslie, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Emma's life was a tapestry of love, skill, and creativity. She found immense pleasure in cooking, a passion that brought her family together around the table and filled her home with warmth and laughter. Her talents were not limited to the kitchen; she was an avid seamstress and a master of knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that were woven with care and affection. Her handcrafted creations were not just objects but expressions of her love, given to family and friends, each piece a testament to her patient and loving nature.
Emma's life was gently intertwined with the lives of her siblings and her great-grandson, all of whom have predeceased her, leaving her with cherished memories and an enduring bond that transcends time. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a pillar of strength and grace, a woman who lived her life with dignity and a quiet, steadfast faith.
A celebration of Emma's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Stephenson and Wyman in Clare, Michigan. It will be a time for family and friends to gather, to reminisce, and to honor a life well-lived, a life dedicated to others. As we bid farewell to Emma, we hold her memory in our hearts, grateful for the time we shared and the love she so generously gave.
Emma Jean Williams will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, family, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave to others.
