In Loving Memory

Emma Grace Teague
January 25, 2004 — March 21, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Grace Teague, who left this world on March 21, 2026, at the tender age of 22. Emma was born on January 25, 2004, in Lugoff, South Carolina, and in her short but impactful life, she brought immense joy and warmth to all who knew her.
Emma was the cherished daughter of Amy and Ernest Teague, whose hearts are heavy with the loss of their beloved child. She is also survived by her adored daughters, Lexi Duran and Rachel Brahman, her treasured daughter Colby Dixie Eve Colton, and her devoted sons, Darrel Tristin and Keith Bruce. Emma's life was also enriched by her "adopted father," Seth, and her loving partner, Kristopher Pyle, who stood by her side in love and laughter.
Emma's journey in education began when she graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School in 2021, a place that she would return to as a beacon of hope and learning for many struggling students. She furthered her education at USC Sumter, where she honed her skills and nurtured a passion for teaching mathematics. As a math teacher at Lugoff-Elgin High School, Emma was more than an educator; she was a mentor and a guiding light for those who needed it most. Her dedication to her students was matched only by the joy she found in their successes.
Emma was a woman of many talents and interests. Her kindness was legendary, and her radiant smile could light up the darkest of rooms. She found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing and spending time in the community helping others learn and grow. Emma was particularly passionate about riding her beloved horse, Layla, a pursuit that fueled her spirit and nurtured her soul.
Her family and friends will forever remember Emma for her caring nature and the joy she brought into their lives. Her children and Kristopher, her partner, were the center of her universe, the very essence of her happiness. Emma's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her and those who were touched by her gentle spirit.
A service to celebrate Emma's life will be held on March 23, 2026, at 8:24 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Power, an organization that holds a special place in their hearts.
As we gather to honor Emma's memory, we hold her close within our hearts, where she will remain forever. Her impact on our lives is immeasurable, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Yet, in the midst of our sorrow, we find comfort in the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind.
"Forever in our hearts."
