Emilio was born on April 19, 1940, in the humble town of Benavides, Texas, to his loving parents, Juan Ruiz and Maria Arredondo Ruiz. He carried the values of hard work, love, and perseverance instilled in him by his parents throughout his life. Emilio's journey was one of dedication and deep affection for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Santos G. Ruiz, with whom he shared a remarkable partnership filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a family that became Emilio's pride and joy. Emilio was the devoted father to three children: (Robert Ruiz) nonliving, Richard Ruiz Sr., Emelia A. Soliz, and Elizabeth Ramos. He nurtured his family with unwavering support, wisdom, and a gentle spirit. His legacy lives on through his eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Emilio's life at a memorial service on August 26, 2026, at 2:30 PM, held at 502 Kinipling St., Port Lavaca, Texas.
