It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Elzator Glaspie, a beloved matriarch, cherished friend, and pillar of strength to many, on June 28, 2026. Elzator departed this world at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unyielding perseverance. Born on August 19, 1933, in Shiloh, Texas, Elzator was a beacon of warmth and kindness from the very beginning. Her life was a testament to resilience and grace, defined by a profound love for her family and an unwavering faith that guided her through every chapter of her life. On January 3, 1948, Elzator married the love of her life, Robert Glaspie for fifty seven years they bore six chlidren three daughthers and three sons their names are Mary Demas (Charles), Bonnie F. Miller(Frank), Lacy E. Glaspie(Linda),Bobby R. Glaspie(Lillian), Vivian Murray(Calvin); all surviving in the Houston, TX area. Their beautiful union shared dreams and enduring love that spanned over decades. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, joy, and devotion. Robert's passing preceded her own, as did that of their beloved son, Gary Glaspie. Despite these profound losses, she saw Elzator remained a source of strength and inspiration to those around her, finding solace in her cherished memories and the love that surrounded her. Elzator was a woman of deep faith, finding comfort and guidance in her spiritual beliefs. Her faith was not only a personal anchor but also a guiding light to those around her, offering hope and solace through life's many challenges. A service honoring Elzator's remarkable life will be held on July 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to gather in celebration of a life well-lived, to share in the stories and memories that continue to inspire and uplift. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Elzator's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others. Elzator Glaspie's departure leaves an indelible mark on our hearts. As we say goodbye, we hold dear the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the unconditional love she bestowed upon all who had the privilege of knowing her. In our hearts, she remains a guiding star, forever cherished, forever missed. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
