Elvis Battle, a devoted family man and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on July 8, 1972, in Greenville, Mississippi, Elvis was a beacon of light and love to all who knew him. Elvis's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his passions. A proud graduate of Greenville High School, he was a celebrated basketball player, earning a place in the hall of fame for his remarkable skills on the court. His love for the game was only rivaled by his love for his family, who were the center of his world. He was the beloved son of Donnie and Raven Battle, who nurtured his talents and were his greatest supporters. Although his journey on this earth has ended, his spirit will continue to thrive through his cherished family. Predeceased by his grandmother, Mary Battle, and his siblings, Tracey Battle and Louis Battle, Elvis is survived by his devoted wife, Sherry Battle, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and resilience. Elvis's legacy lives on through his three loving children: Kayla Reed (Jim), Shana Battle, and Kendrick Battle (Lauren). His five grandchildren, Anthony Williams, Mike Battle, James Battle, Ashley Williams, and Daylan Battle, were the apples of his eye, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Elvis was also a beloved uncle and friend to many. His extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends will forever cherish the memories of their time shared with him, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering kindness. A celebration of Elvis's life will be held on August 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church, located at 509 South Broadway. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring his memory and the love he bestowed upon all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association in memory of Elvis Battle. Contributions will aid in the pursuit of cures and treatments for a disease that affects countless families. The organization is located in Saint Clair Shores, MI, USA. Elvis Battle’s life was a testament to the power of love and family. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
