It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Elton Prettyboy Flemmons, who peacefully departed this world at the age of 65, surrounded by his beloved family at his home. Born on a bright spring day in Olive Branch, Mississippi, Elton brought light and laughter into the world on May 1, 1961, a gift he continued to share throughout his life.
Elton was the cherished son of the late Henry and Aquilla Flemmons, and he has now joined them along with his beloved brothers, William, Jim, and Clarence, and his precious son, in eternal peace. Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, the love he shared remains with us, carried forward by his devoted wife, Ruby Flemmons, and his children, Elton, Trenton, Joshua, and Kali Bates. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Cora Allen, Josephine Flemmons, Paulette (Kenny) Halmon, Linda Flemmons, and Robert Flemmons, as well as his many nieces and nephews, including Yogi, Donnie, Yolanda, Michael, Tosha, Datiana, Stanley, Valeda, Clifton, Nikki, and Keosha, and five adoring grandchildren.
Elton was a man of humor and heart, known for his ability to bring joy into any room with his playful spirit and knack for giving people nicknames that perfectly encapsulated their essence. His laughter was infectious, and his kindness knew no bounds. He was always ready with a helping hand or a friendly word, embodying generosity in its truest form.
A service to celebrate Elton's life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM at E.H. Ford Funeral Home, 3390 Elvis Presley, Memphis, TN 38116. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a life fully lived and a spirit that touched us all.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all those who have offered their support and love during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion are a testament to the far-reaching impact of Elton's life and the community he helped build.
Though we say goodbye to Elton in this life, his spirit will live on in the laughter, love, and light he shared with us all. As we remember him, let us carry forward his legacy of joy and generosity, keeping his memory alive in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, dear Elton. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
