Ellious Lee Johnson Sr, fondly known to many as "2feet" or "Butch Cassidy," passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and music. Born in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Ellious was a man whose life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and the joy of bringing smiles to others.
Raised by his beloved mother, Lillie Mae Johnson Mosby, and his devoted stepfather, Ernest Mosby Sr, Ellious grew up in a household that valued family and community. He carried these values throughout his life, instilling them in his children and sharing them with everyone he met. His father, Peter Young, also played a part in shaping the man he became.
Ellious was predeceased by his parents, loving daughter Kadie Georgetown, and his brothers Sherman, Russell, and Ernest Mosby. He is survived by his cherished children: Elisa, Ellious Jr, Grace, and Gregory Johnson, as well as his stepchildren Elliott, Aaron, and Chris Williams, who all meant the world to him.
Throughout his life, Ellious was known for his relentless work ethic. He took great pride in his profession as a butcher, a skill he honed with dedication and precision. He also worked at LSU as a maintenance worker and operated cranes, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his craft. Ellious was much more than his work; he was a cornerstone in his community, admired for his kindness and warmth.
Ellious's passions were as vibrant as his personality. A talented musician, he found joy in playing the harmonica, saxophone, and guitar. Music was a defining part of his life, alongside his love for cooking. His ability to infuse joy into these activities was matched only by his infectious smile, his sense of humor, and the heartfelt advice he freely shared with loved ones.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Nortons Cancer Institute and the Norton family, whose support was invaluable. Special thanks to his neighbors, Miss Kathy and Big Todd, and to his adoptive daughter Jay, who was always by his side. To Teresa Rickman, whom he affectionately called "my love," and to Teneeta Williams, who blessed him with four wonderful children. His nephew Marvin holds a special place in their hearts as well.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Ellious's spirit of giving.
