Elizabeth V. Lewis (Caleo)

With immense sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth V. Lewis (Caleo), who departed this world on April 5, 2026, lovingly surrounded by her family. Elizabeth was born on May 10, 1977, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Victor G. Lewis and Alice Eaves Lewis. She was loved and will be missed by many. Elizabeth was blessed with an upbringing in Wilmer, AL, where she cultivated lifelong friendships and cherished memories. She graduated from MGM High School in 1995, where she left an indelible mark on all that came to know her. Family was the cornerstone of Elizabeth’s life. She was a devoted mother to her children, Eternity, Serenity, and Ambrosia Welch, and a doting grandmother to two precious grandchildren, Alice Akridge and Brantley Welch. Elizabeth's legacy of love lives on in them. Elizabeth shared a genuine bond with her sisters, Angela Pledger (Milton) and Kristen Marvin, who shared with her both in laughter and tears. Elizabeth's life was both challenging and testament to the power of love and resilience that she held for her family. She faced the world with an open heart and an indomitable spirit, that carried her through many trials and accomplishments throughout her life. A small Graveside service for close family and friends to honor Elizabeth’s life will be held on May 9, 2026, at the serene Wilmer Cemetery in Wilmer, Alabama. Though she is no longer with us in this world, her spirit will forever be a guiding light in our hearts. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her.
