With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth V. Lewis (Caleo), a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Elizabeth was born on May 10, 1977, in Mobile, Alabama, and she left this world on April 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of Victor G. Lewis and Alice E. Lewis, who predeceased her, along with her beloved grandparents. Throughout her life, Elizabeth carried the legacy of her parents and grandparents, honoring them through her unwavering dedication to family.
A proud graduate of MGM High School in 1995, Elizabeth was known for her intelligence and uniqueness. Her spirit touched everyone she encountered, and she lived her life with a presence that left an indelible mark on the lives and hearts of many.
Elizabeth leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her daughters, Eternity Welch, Serenity Welch, and Ambrosia Welch, will remember her as a loving mother who filled their lives with laughter and wisdom. She is also survived by her sisters Angela Pledger (Milton) and Kristen Mavin.
Her extended family of nieces, a nephew, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will continue to celebrate her life through treasured memories and the bonds she nurtured.
Elizabeth's legacy continues through her two precious grandchildren, Alice Akridge (7) and Brantley Welch (6)who brought her immense joy and pride. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the stories and shared moments that define their lives.
A small Graveside service to honor Elizabeth's life will be held on May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilmer Community Cemetery, located on Cemetery Road in Wilmer, Alabama. Close family & friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wilmer Methodist Church Avenue B Wilmer, Al (251) 649-1800, an organization dear to Elizabeth's heart.
Elizabeth V. Lewis (Caleo) will be remembered for her the laughter she brought to those around her, her unique soul, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she met. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
