June 17, 1950 — August 30, 2026

Elizabeth Griffin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, at the age of 76 due to heart failure. Elizabeth was born on June 17, 1950, in the close-knit community of Mary Alice, Indiana, where she would go on to touch the lives of many with her kindness and unwavering spirit. Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of Jake and Gertie Wilson, who predeceased her and instilled in her values of compassion and hard work that she carried throughout her life. Her marriage to Jr Griffin was a testament to love and partnership, and together they built a family that was the center of her world. Elizabeth was the proud mother of three children: Cindy Moore, Vicky Meredith, and Mike Mitchell. Her nurturing nature and boundless love were evident to all who knew her, and she took great joy in being surrounded by her family. Her legacy includes 10 adoring grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandbaby on the way, all of whom brought her immense happiness and pride. A woman of great warmth, Elizabeth was known for her generosity and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She had a special talent for baking, and her kitchen was often filled with the laughter of loved ones and the aroma of her famous apple pie. Her passion for gardening was reflected in her vibrant flower beds that brightened every season, much like her presence brightened the lives of those around her. Elizabeth's faith and community involvement were important facets of her life. She was an active member of her local church and participated in numerous community projects and charitable events, always eager to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Elizabeth's legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire those who knew her. While she will be deeply missed, Elizabeth's spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her family invites those who wish to honor Elizabeth's memory to make a donation to a charity of their choice, in keeping with her generous spirit. Elizabeth Griffin will be remembered as a beacon of love and grace, whose life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and faith. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the light and love she so freely gave to others.
