Elizabeth Courtney Biddle, fondly known as Courtney, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 20, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on February 16, 1960, in the charming town of Carmel, Indiana, Courtney lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. Courtney was the cherished daughter of the late Constance Roberts and Charlie Byfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dan Biddle, and her dear brothers, Christopher and Andrew Byfield. She is survived by her loving sons, Nathan, Justin, and Andy, who will forever remember her as a guiding light. Her sisters, Katie and Jennifer, will continue to honor the bond they shared. Courtney was a proud grandmother, and her grandchildren will carry forward the legacy of love and wisdom she imparted to them. Courtney's educational journey began at Carmel High School, after which she pursued her passion for caring for others by attending nursing school. Her career as a Registered Nurse at an assisted living facility was a testament to her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to bettering the lives of those in her care. In addition to her nursing role, Courtney also contributed to her community by driving a school bus for the Westfield Washington School District, where her kind demeanor left a lasting impression on countless children and families. A woman of strong opinions and great wisdom, Courtney was known for her loving and caring nature. She embraced life with vigor and was deeply passionate about horses and Native American culture. These interests brought her immense joy and a sense of connection to the world around her. Courtney's presence was a beacon of warmth and love, and she touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her enduring spirit and compassionate heart will be missed by all who knew her. As her family reflects on her life, they remember a woman who was not only wise and opinionated but also incredibly giving and thoughtful. In memory of E. Courtney Biddle, her family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. A private family service will be held to celebrate Courtney's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a local charity supporting Native American communities, in honor of Courtney's enduring passion and dedication to this cause.
