On September 16, 2026, after bravely facing a long battle with cervical cancer and dialysis, Elizabeth departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of Jaime Lindayag Genova and Merlie Medina Ayson and a devoted mother to her children: Evelyn (Aaron), Ederlisa (Chris), Edrian, Erica Lynn (Buck), and Reyneilynn (Kevin). Her heart was further expanded with joy by her 11 beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Elizabeth shared 13 years of marriage with Edergardo Juanengo Dayrit, a partnership that was a testament to her loving and passionate spirit. She was a woman of remarkable intellect and determination, having pursued her education in Manila before launching her career as a legal assistant in National City and later serving as a dedicated clerk in Mission Bay. Her professional journey was characterized by her unwavering dedication and integrity to her children.
A devout member of St. Rita’s in Paradise Hills, Elizabeth found solace and strength in her community, where her vibrant presence was felt by all. She had a profound love for Korean dramas, fashion, and social gatherings, often gracing parties with her infectious laughter and stylish flair. Her favorite moments, however, were those spent surrounded by family, sharing stories and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Elizabeth's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Her radiant spirit and larger-than-life personality turned everyday moments into extraordinary memories. She taught those around her to live boldly, love fiercely, and embrace their own unique sparkle.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and caregivers who provided compassionate care throughout Elizabeth’s journey.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Elizabeth’s remarkable life at a later date. Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, reminding us all that while Elizabeth may have taken her final bow, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, forever a shining star in our hearts.
