Eliza Jane Wells, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 24, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Eliza lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and community. The daughter of James and Eliza Davidson, Eliza Jane was predeceased by her devoted parents. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles, her two sons, Anthony and Jeffrey, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent in their company. Eliza's career was marked by her dedication to the Lenape Regional School District for 17 years where she was Secretary to the Athletic Department and Assistant Principal. During her time there she formed lifelong relationships and friendships that she treasured deeply. Eliza's colleagues will always remember her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. A true sports enthusiast, Eliza loved being a fan of all sports, often bringing her spirited energy to every game she watched. Her passion for sports was contagious, and she enjoyed sharing this interest with her family and friends, creating many cherished memories over the years. Eliza was also a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem for over 30 years. In honor of her memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association, an organization close to Eliza's heart. Contributions will aid in the fight against Alzheimer's, a cause she believed in deeply. Eliza Jane Wells leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a commitment to those she held dear. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
