March 4, 2006 — September 15, 2026

Elijah J. Owens, a remarkable young man whose life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and resilience, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his beloved family and cherished friends. Born on March 4, 2006, in Riverview, Florida, Elijah was the beloved son of Donna and Jerry Owens. From a young age, Elijah displayed a zest for life that was infectious. His unique and beautiful spirit could brighten any room with just a smile. A gifted student, Elijah graduated high school a year early, showcasing his determination and intelligence. He was a proud member of the high school track team, where he not only excelled in athletics but also formed lifelong friendships. Elijah's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He shared a deep bond with his fiancée, Madison Jones, to whom he proposed in the summer of 2024. Together, they raised their young son, Dimitri Owens, whom Elijah adored "to the moon and back." Elijah cherished his blended family, including his siblings Tatianna Owens, Marquis Jonas Jr., Michaela Erickson, and Cassandra Owens. His family was his world, and he took great joy in spending time with them, whether fishing with Dimitri, visiting the gun range with his brothers, or enjoying family dinners with his sisters. Elijah's passing is a profound loss to all who knew him, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves behind his loving parents, his devoted fiancée, his treasured son, and his dear siblings. Elijah was predeceased by his Aunt Tabby and his grandparents Jeanie and Richard Owens, whom he now joins in eternal rest. In honor of Elijah's life, the family has chosen to hold a private funeral ceremony. Those who wish to honor his memory may do so by making a donation to the American Heart Association, a cause close to the family's heart. As we bid farewell to Elijah, we hold onto the special message from his family: "Forever in our very souls, love you to the moon and back always and forever." His legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
