With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Elijah Green Jr., who left this world on April 14, 2026, just one day before his 55th birthday. Born on April 15, 1971, in New York, NY, Elijah lived a life marked by joy, kindness, and unyielding devotion to his family and friends. Elijah was the beloved son of Nancy Hudson and the late Elijah Hudson. He was preceded in death by his father, his brothers Irvin and Anthony Green, and cherished relatives Aunt Lutherean, Aunt Vida, and Uncle Sonny. Despite these profound losses, Elijah carried forward the legacy of love and togetherness instilled by his family. He is survived by his loving children, Elijah Green and Julian Green, who were his pride and joy. Elijah also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Vonda Nelson (James), Tracy Green (Yvonne), and Diana Green (Rodney), who will forever cherish the bond they shared. His extended family includes nephews Sedgrick Green, Derrick Green, Joshua Green, Michael Daley, and Devin Green; nieces Shaniqua Nelson, Shyann Green, Kayla Green, Cymantha Daley, and Tracey Daley; and two adored grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. A proud graduate of Burke High School in Charleston, SC, Elijah built a fulfilling career working at Nissan of Queens before embarking on a journey as a maintenance professional. He was truly a jack of all trades, renowned for his skillful handiwork and the joy he found in fixing things. Elijah's passions were as vibrant as his personality. He loved to cook, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. An avid sports enthusiast, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. Music was another of his great loves, and it filled his home and heart with rhythm and joy. Known for his infectious laugh, Elijah's presence was a beacon of happiness. He had an extraordinary ability to uplift those around him, speaking to everyone with kindness and love. Family-oriented and always down for a good time, Elijah's legacy is one of warmth and light. A celebration of Elijah’s life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM at N F Walker Funeral Home, located at 87-34 80th St, Woodhaven, NY 11421. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor the life of a remarkable man who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
