In Loving Memory

Eliazar Garza
June 1, 1968 — April 20, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Eliazar Garza, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, who departed this life unexpectedly on April 20, 2026, at his home due to heart issues. Born on June 1, 1968, in Irving, Texas, Eliazar was a beacon of strength and loyalty to all who knew him.
Eliazar was the cherished son of Hortencia Rios and Elezar Garza. He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, his grandmother and grandfather, and his dear cousins, Mario and Checko. Their memories will forever be a part of his legacy.
Eliazar's heart and soul were devoted to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Melanie. Together, they built a life filled with resilience, love, and shared dreams. Through every trial and triumph, they stood by each other with unwavering support. He was a proud father to Aaron, Zar, and Mila, and a loving stepfather to Romello, Lorenzo, Romeo, and Christian. His life was further enriched by his five grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Education was an important milestone for Eliazar, and he attended Thomas Jefferson High School in North Dallas, later earning his GED. His career journey was diverse, but in the last eight years, Eliazar found his true calling in the heavy equipment industry. He was on the path to becoming a mechanic, a role that he embraced with enthusiasm and dedication, always "showing up and showing out" every day.
Beyond his professional life, Eliazar had a passion for fishing and was an ardent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his children, who were the center of his world.
Eliazar was known for his tough exterior, but those fortunate enough to be welcomed into his circle knew him as a kind, loyal friend who would stand by you through thick and thin. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void.
A service to honor Eliazar's life will be held on April 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, located at 500 Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the funeral home for their compassionate care during this challenging time. Special thanks are also extended to those who generously donated to cover the costs; Melanie expresses her deepest gratitude for the support during this difficult period.
Eliazar's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. As we bid farewell, we hold tight to the memories and lessons he imparted, forever cherishing the indelible mark he left on our lives.
Rest in peace, Eliazar. You will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
