Jane was the daughter of the late Charlie Lawrence Hart and Mae Cook Hart. She was a beacon of love, faith, and resilience whose warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Jane was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Eddie Robert Taylor, to whom she was married for over 63 years until his passing on January 21, 2011. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising two wonderful children, Eddie H. Taylor and Glenda T. Napier. Jane is also survived by her dear sister, Nellie Hart Cosey, who shared a lifelong bond with her. A graduate of Butler High School, Jane began her career as a telephone operator, a role she held with dedication before devoting herself to her family and community. A woman of deep faith, she was an active member of Highland Baptist Church, where she contributed her time and talents to the Sunday school, choir, and Vacation Bible School. Her melodious voice and nurturing spirit uplifted those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the community she held so dear. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charlie and Jack, her sisters Francis and Judy. Her granddaughter Angelique and of course, her beloved husband, Robert. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, yet her spirit will forever illuminate their lives. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice staff from Care Associates, whose compassionate care provided comfort to Jane and her family during her final days. A service to celebrate Jane's remarkable life will be held at the Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jane's memory to an organization of your choice.
