January 20, 1942 — October 30, 2026

Eleanor Hardin, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, peacefully departed this world on October 30, 2026, in the loving company of family. Born on January 20, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio, Eleanor graced the lives of those around her with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love. The daughter of Jessie Henderson and Richard Hardin, Eleanor's life was a testament to the strength and compassion instilled by her parents. Eleanor's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. She was predeceased by her dear daughter, Tracey Jones, and her beloved siblings, including Richard, Elgin, and Jay Hardin, as well as Ida Madison, Dorothy Wynn, and the inseparable Josephine and Geraldine Burch. Eleanor also mourned the loss of her treasured grandchildren, Angelica Horton, Lee Michael Hardin, and Ashley Robinson. Despite these profound losses, Eleanor found strength in her memories and the legacy of love left behind. Eleanor's spirit lives on through her surviving children: her devoted daughter Toni Hardin, her loving son Author Hardin, and her caring daughter-in-law Laurie Hardin. Her legacy thrives in her grandchildren: Germanick Hardin, Chantelle Robinson, Dejavu Jones, Anthony Robinson, and Juvon Campbell, along with her 25 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her values of kindness and community. Eleanor was a guiding light, not only to her family but also to the countless friends she made throughout her life. Her home was a welcoming haven, where laughter echoed in every corner, and love was abundant. Her culinary skills were renowned, and family gatherings were filled with the aroma of her lovingly prepared meals, a tradition her family intends to carry on in her memory. Eleanor's presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will forever illuminate the lives of those she touched. Her family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, reflecting Eleanor's lifelong commitment to helping others.
