Born on February 7, 1946, in the bustling city of Los Angeles, Eleanor was the cherished daughter of Richard and Pearl Keep. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Eleanor's life was rooted in love and family. She was married to Jim Smith in 1964, and later found a lasting partnership with Benny Dahl in 1967. Throughout her life, she shared a special bond with Michael Winowski. Eleanor's heart belonged to her family. She was predeceased by her son Lawrence Dahl, granddaughter Faith Flores, grandson Daryl Dahl, and daughter Joanne Dahl. Her spirit lives on in her surviving children, daughters Deanne Dahl and Patricia Arnett, and her beloved grandchildren, Magen Dahl, Kristine Arnett, Kala Hamblin, Tylynn Arnett, and Faith Flores. Eleanor's legacy extends to her great-grandchildren, including Isabella Arnett, Ryleigh Arnett, Zaine Hamblin, Elijah Arnett, Weston Arnett, and many more. Professionally, Eleanor was a trailblazer. She began her career as a secretary at the tender age of 15 and grew to become a self-employed CPA, a role she held with pride and dedication until 2023. Her career was marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for helping others manage their financial journeys. A devoted member of the Mormon faith, Eleanor practiced her beliefs with grace and dignity throughout her life. Her faith was a guiding light, offering her solace and strength in times of joy and sorrow alike. Eleanor's personal interests painted a picture of a life filled with joy and creativity. She delighted in watching movies and playing with her treasured cats. In her younger years, Eleanor was an avid collector of stamps, beanie babies, and owls, amassing a delightful array of trinkets that brought her endless joy. Her collection was a testament to her playful spirit and the simple pleasures she found in life's small wonders. Those who knew Eleanor will remember her as a woman of fiery passion and deep compassion. Her hot-headed nature was always balanced by a readiness to lend a helping hand, and her smile could light up even the darkest of days. Eleanor's love for her children and grandchildren was boundless, and her home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter. Eleanor's family will honor her life in a private ceremony on March 12, 2026.
